About Us...

After Ava purchased a Percheron-Saddlebred cross mare from the Hershbergers in the early 2000s, united by their love of Saddlebred horses, Ava and Nelson became good friends and, later, pony business partners. We got into ponies as a hobby, because Ava likes to make kids work and Nelson's kids were ages 5-15. (

Ava has been in the horse business her whole life. She grew up riding ponies every day, spending weekends on wagon trains, and helping her dad work the farm with a team of horses or mules. Ava fell in love with Saddlebred horses in her teens and to-date hasn't found anything she likes better. Ava has been raising Georgian Grandes (although we've always called them Percheron-Saddlebred crosses) since the late 1980s.

If you've talked to anyone over email or Facebook, it was either Kels or Rock. We're the voice of WRF over any source of communication that might involve the internet. We both work full-time and we don't always know what Ava's doing, so that's why we're probably going to suggest you call Ava. :)
